Deep Cycle Battery FAQs

It’s made from qualified LiFePO4 or ternary lithium battery.
In LiFePO4 technology, there are many aspects of information to learn about the advantages of converting all lead-acid batteries to lithium batteries now.

Typically, LiFePO4 batteries are about one-third the weight of lead-acid batteries.
What does this mean to you?
You won’t be weighed down by heavy lead-acid batteries, saving you shipping costs.

LiFePO4 batteries are durable and safe for use in everything from golf carts to yachts. A built-in safety feature prevents the battery from overheating by shutting it down if the temperature rises too high. Most lead-acid batteries lack this mechanism, putting your battery at risk of fire.

LiFePO4 batteries can be customized to your needs, and lead-acid batteries can be easily replaced regardless of vehicle type.

LiFePO4 life expectancy is approximately 7-10 years.
The lead-acid battery life is less than 3-5 years.
The advanced lithium-ion technology can give you 3000 complete charge and discharge cycles at eightieth DoD (Depth of Discharge).
Once 3000 cycles, you may still have over eightieth of usable energy left.
Just in case you discharge LiFePO4 deep cycle battery at the sixty-fifth DoD rate, you’ll be able to expect to urge 5000 cycles.

Deep cycle batteries are commonly used in RVs, boats, recreational vehicles, golf carts, home energy storage, and more.
A perfect replacement for any lead-acid battery of the same voltage. 12V/24V/36/48V.

The LiFePO4 & ternary lithium battery has the edge over Lead-acid batteries, both in terms of cycle life and safety. This is a key advantage.

LiFePO4 technology provides 100% charging efficiency, greatly reducing the time you have to wait for the battery to charge.
The average charge efficiency of lead-acid batteries is 85%.
Unlike lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries do not need to go through a time-consuming absorption phase before being recharged to the final 20% of capacity.
Lithium batteries can be fully charged in a very short time.

Lead-acid batteries drain themselves quickly and require you to recharge them every day.
However, lithium batteries are different. Lithium batteries retain most of their usable capacity even if you store them for a year without charging.
For best protection, experts recommend storing LiFePO4 batteries at 50% depth of discharge (DOD).

The short answer is almost none.
While a lead-acid battery must go through a regular saturation charge that lasts 14 hours or more, LiFePO4 technology maintains a steady charge even if it is only partially charged.
However, extreme temperatures can damage your battery.
Also, you should take care to charge it with the correct voltage, 14.6 V is the recommended charging voltage.

Every deep cycle battery has an inherent BMS embedded. This BMS manages 2 main aspects of the battery throughout the operation:

Protection options:
● Low Voltage Protection Switch – mechanically disconnects at 10.0V
● Over Voltage Protection Switch – mechanically disconnects at 14.8V
● Short Circuit Protection Switch – mechanically and safely disconnect the battery
● Reverse Polarity Protection Switch – mechanically and safely disconnects the battery
● Over-temperature – mechanically shut-down battery till traditional temperature recovery

Balancing options :
● Internal cell reconciliation – mechanically balances battery cells throughout battery operation. A reconciliation algorithmic rule has been developed to confirm excellent balance between cells throughout battery life.
● Charge reconciliation – for batteries connected in parallel and/or nonparallel, the BMS can balance
every battery severally, so as to produce a perpetually balanced battery system.

● Among all environmental factors, temperature has the greatest impact on battery performance.

● Electrochemical reactions at the electrode/electrolyte interface are temperature dependent. The electrode/electrolyte interface is considered the heart of the battery.

● The lower the temperature, the lower the reaction speed of the electrode.

● If the battery voltage remains the same, the discharge current becomes smaller and the output power also decreases.

● If the temperature rises, the opposite is true. That is, the power output of the battery will increase.

● Temperature also affects the speed of electrolyte transfer.

● If the temperature rises, the transfer speed will be faster.

● If the temperature drops, the transfer speed will become slower.

Car Start-Stop Battery FAQs

Lead acid battery lifesan is 250-300 cybles while LiFePO4 lifespan is about 3000 cycles.

The battery runs out its energy without driving the car for weeks, the lead acid battery would probably die after that, but the LiFePO4 battery can be used after recharging, and it doesn’t affect its lifespan.

Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) has excellent thermal and chemical stability, This battery stays cool in higher temperatures.
It is also incombustible when it is mishandled during rapid charges and discharges or when there are short circuit issues.
Lithium iron phosphate does not normally experience thermal runaway, as the phosphate cathode will not burn or explode during overcharging or overheating as the battery remains cool.

1. Promote engine reduce fuel consumimg.
The lower LiFePO4 internal resistance and higher output current make the spark plug create higher electricity, quickly ignite and engine, completely combust the fuel.

2. High energy density
The capcity of the same volume of LiFePO4 battery is 50% more than the capacity of lead acid battery.
The weight of the same volume of LiFePO4 battery is 70% less than the weight of lead acid battery.

3. Good high temperature performance
The peak value of LiFePO4 battery electric heating can reach 350 ℃ to 500 ℃
Lithium manganese oxide and Lithium cobalt oxide around 200 ℃
The operating temperature range of LiFePO4 battey is -20 ℃-80 ℃
The operating temperature range of lead acid battery is –20 ℃-50 ℃.

4. Reduce vehicle weight
The lithium iron phosphate battery weighs 70% less than lead acid battery, so that the vehicle can accelerate faster and comsume less fuel.

5. Improve sound quality
The battery’s internal resistance is low and the transient output power is large, which can fully meet the requirements of the speaker for instanlaneous high current power supply, making the mid-bass thicker and the treble more transparrent.
